Forget Me Not, Stranger- All’s well till the Last Chapter

I stumbled upon the Stranger Trilogy by Novoneel Chakraborty while I was casually checking out the bestsellers on Amazon. And am really thankful that I did. I finished the first two books within a day and a half and was madly waiting for the last book. I enjoyed each and every chapter of this 34 chapters book till the Chapter 33. Then comes the Chapter 34 and the entire magic is gone. What could have been an example of a cult thriller ended on the most disappointing note possible.

Our emotions were too heightened just by the prospect of revealing the stranger. As we waited with breathes held that finally the stranger and his connection to Mini will come to the surface, the authors gives the driest possible reason for the existence of the Stranger. Also one that is highly impractical to believe.

The logic presented at the end of the book leaves so many open ends to the drama and anticipation built since the first book. Am not gonna reveal any spoilers but the book does leave many unanswered questions. Just like the first two books, this one also has the ability to keep you hooked to the pages. I finished the book in 4 hours. The web surrounding Mini and all the characters related to her- Danny, Ekansh and even her parents thickens and the new characters too slip in smoothly. Novoneel’s style of writing is also as always great. Just as I said, All is well till the Last Chapter. 🙂
