Must Watch Movies to Lift Up your Spirits-Part 2
I have already listed two amazing movies to go for whenever you are feeling low or heart-broken. (Read it here) The list goes ahead and the next one is
3. The Ugly Truth
A hilarious take on the “Men are from Mars and Women from Venus” funda, this is one movie which will make you enjoy every moment of it. Great acting by Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl and a greater chemistry between them makes for a complete fun package. Striking a punch on both our ladies and gentlemen, the movie is about Abby who is, yes, a normal woman and by normal I mean, she is crazy, control freak, hormonal, full of notions of fairy tale romance with the PERFECT guy. (Ya, isn’t that called normal for us, girls ;-))
And then there is Mike who claims with full confidence that there can’t be any guy who actually is gonna listen to a girl and be interested in all she has to say and even read between the lines. He shouts “Men are Simple”. He helps Abby through a makeover emphasizing that though she may be brainy, deep and all, but you can’t ignore the visuals. (He gets her to have longer hair and changes her wardrobe INSIDE out.)
The coming together of two individuals this apart, terminates into an inevitable romance which leaves the two people involved equally puzzled.
Abby: You’re in love with me. Why?
Mike: Beats the shit out of me, but I am.
4. Jab We Met
A tez tarrar, jatni from Bhatinda meets a calm and sweet boy and the rest is just magic. This is my feel good movie for anytime. Kareena shines as Geet (according to me, her best performance till date), just made her way into our hearts with lines like “Mai apni favourite hun” and the innocence with which she books a room hour wise. You can’t help it but fall in love with her.
Shahid on the other end, a sharp contrast to Kareena’s Geet complements her character and screen presence in every manner. Full of wit and humour and high on emotions, Jab We Met is a bindaas treat to the senses.
